Hari Ibu

Di setiap negara, Hari Ibu dirayakan pada waktu yang berbeda dan dengan maksud yang berbeda pula. Selain ada yang secara tradisional, ada pula yang merayakan Hari Ibu secara modern. Tetapi maknanya sama, yaitu: Menghormati arti seorang ibu dan mengungkapkan cinta anak kepada ibunya.

My darling Grandpa


Grandpa's life was full of
complete devotion to his God and ancestors.
He passed this on to his descendants,
paying homage to God and
respecting parents as well as elders.

His patience and tolerance were the most obvious. None of his descendants seems to get the equal quality. He worried so much when his grandkids living with him was not home yet, after 9 pm.... He would not have a sound sleep when any of his grandkids was having problem. But he always stayed calm when he himself was having problem of his own. He was such a brave man.

His words were never rude even when he was facing someone confronting him!
I guess this is one of those things he always wanted his children and grandchildren, or even great grandchildren, to adopt from him.

That was what I had in mind about his strong characteristics. I always smile when I remember him.... Miss him sometimes.

My beautiful Grandma

If there had not been her,
I may not have grown to be me, this very me!
If it had not been her taking care of me
and teaching me by her examples,
reminding me of things which were harmful
for an adolescent like I was,
I may not have been so careful
about my wellness, my future,
and I may not have grown to be
what I am now




She's always been staying in my heart
even after many years she passed away
And the cute ring she gave me 1n 1979
when I graduated from IKIP Jakarta,
even seems to stay shiny around my finger.

So many things she taught me
more by her examples than words.
The older I get, the more precious her examples
mean to me.




I hope her next life will be of
a more blessed one
