May I always remember that

when I am dining in a fine restaurant,

there are people who are hungry

and have nothing to eat today.

May I always remember that

when I am wearing a good outfit,

there are people without any home, freezing,

needing a piece of blanket.

May I always remember that

when I am staying in a nice hotel,

there are people who have to stand

the heat of the sun and the chill of the night

May I always remember that

if I cannot help them,

at least I would feel their suffering

and learn to give a meaning to my life,

by living rightfully.

May all living beings be happy

and free from suffering.
